This is a blog just about our little doggie, Gizmo.
When Gizmo joined us, back in December of 2009, he was no more bigger than a little curly puff ball. We were at the pet store in the Vancouver Mall in Vancouver Washington. We saw a litter of these cute little curly pups. Their sign said "Pomadoodles." What the heck was that?
He's part Pomeranian and part Poodle. He's got the attitude of a poodle along with the hair and the obedience of a Pomeranian. All-in-all, Gizmo is the greatest dog around.
We picked the littlest one up. He looked in to our eyes and our hearts melted. Rob held him in his hand, put him close to his chest and Gizmo began suckling on the palm of his hand. I took him for a sec and inspected him, propped him up in the palm of my hand and he just let me move him where ever I wanted. He was so calm. The perfect puppy.
So, that was it....we chose to buy the little guy. Our Christmas present to each other. Gizmo was born November 3rd, 2009.
Follow along with Gizmo and us as he grows up from his first vet visit to his first truck ride. See him playing dress up and just being a ham in front of the camera. He really is a great little dog and companion.
Gizmo in Daddy's jacket. Waiting to see the vet for the first time. Here we took him in to VCA of Vancouver, Washington. We wanted to be sure our little baby was healthy and we got him off to a healthy start.
The receptionist just couldn't wait to see our little bundle of joy. We originally named him "Grizzly" and that was what they wrote on his charts. He looked like a Grizzly bear pup. But later, we decided that he looked more like a little Gremlin, so we renamed him Gizmo. That name stuck.
Gizmo's doctor just couldn't get over the cute puppy kisses she was getting. She had to pause from writing in the chart to return some of the kisses.
Can you believe our little baby weighed a whopping 1 pound 4 ounces? At 6 weeks old, he got a clean bill of health and we were told that we could enjoy several wonderful years with our new little boy.
